“We are delighted to partner again with this year’s Festival and welcome the local and visiting LGBT community to Fort Lauderdale,” said Noelle P. Stevenson, film commissioner of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau. “The Festival is a wonderful way to bring the community together by celebrating great films while showcasing our production-friendly destination to filmmakers.”

On opening night, Thursday October 4, the film festival will screen Thom Fitzgerald’s “Cloudburst” starring Olympia Dukakis and Brenda Fricker. Adapted from an award-winning play, “Cloudburst” tells the tale of an older lesbian couple who has been together for 31 years. Dot, played by Fricker, is committed to a nursing home by her meddling granddaughter. This does not sit well with Dot’s partner Stella, played by Dukakis, who comes to Dot’s rescue.

Together, they escape from a Maine nursing home and head over the boarder to Canada where they hope to obtain a marriage license and finally have their relationship recognized. Along the way, they pick up a sexy, shirtless hitchhiker named Prentice, played by Ryan Doucette, and the familial plot thickens and evolves.

The closing night film, “Bear City 2: the Proposal,” will be followed by a FLGLFF Closing Pool Party produced by Bear Nation and hosted by Tony Lima at the Royal Palms Resort and Spa with 400 guests dancing the night away to a famous DJ until 2 a.m.

Other highlights of the 2012 festival include film screenings held at the historic Classic Gateway Theatre, which has been in business for more than 60 years and adds a vintage flavor to the Ft. Lauderdale Festival.
Tickets for the FLGLFF go on sale to festival members on August 30 and to the general public on September 10. For ticket information and the full schedule of screenings, visit www.flglff.com.

Global Mission for Children, a Worldwide Child Sponsorship Charity Announces Campaign for Volunteers

Bradenton, FL (Sharewellnewswire.com) September 5, 2012 – GlobalMissionforChildren.org (“GMFC”), a worldwide Christian children’s charity announced today they are launching an online campaign to introduce GMFC to people that are interested to volunteer their time to spread the word of helping the less fortunate children of the world. They are searching for many volunteers to help get children sponsored in the areas GMFC serves in Africa and Asia. They are nearing completion of a church and a school on the island of Formosa, a small island off the coast of Guinea Bissau. GMFC has successfully served people on the island of Uno, Guinea Bissau for the last 8 ½ years building 6 churches, 6 schools and a small medical room that treats between 10-40 people per day.
James Miller, co-founder of Global Mission for Children states “we are very excited to announce this milestone. We have prayed profusely to expand our reach to bring food, medicine, clean water, education and the love of God to as many areas of Africa we possibly can.” GMFC has served in the poorest countries in the world, Guinea Bissau & Niger Africa and Nepal, Asia for the past 8 ½ years and have helped thousands. Pastor Wilson Westphal, co-founder of GMFC states “the fulltime missionaries have given up their lives to help these less fortunate children. We are in desperate need of donations as millions more children need to be helped and soon”.
James Miller notes “After I researched the statics in Africa I found staggering facts from the World Health Organizations and confirmed by other humanitarian groups”. James continues “Approximately 30,000 precious CHILDREN needlessly die in Africa each and every DAY!!! That’s 11 MILLION children per year! Over half of them could be saved if only they had immunizations against childhood diseases, clean water and nutritious daily meals. The youngest children under 5 years old suffer the most”. What GMFC is asking from caring, compassionate individuals is to open up their hearts and become a child sponsor. A child sponsor picks a child in need and commits to just $1 a day. They will be able to communicate with their child via email and GMFC hopes someday the sponsor will go visit the child and see firsthand how their donations are working for the good of the world. GMFC is looking for “Child Angel’s” to volunteer a few hours per month and help to sponsor 100 children”. This gives the “Child’s Angel” incredible motivation to help get children sponsored and they will be rewarded with a trip of a lifetime.
When the GMFC volunteer finds 100 child sponsors they are rewarded with a trip of a lifetime. They win a free trip to visit the sponsored child of their choice and witness firsthand the incredible love and blessings GMFC is providing with the collective help of thousands. The individuals who have visited their sponsored children collectively state “seeing first hand these hurting children has changed me forever. The compassion I have towards others that are in need and the acknowledgement that we, as Americans, are the most blessed people on earth has changed my life forever…for the better!” When they do they will receive a complementary trip to see their sponsored child. Pastor Andrea Westphal, Pastor Wilson’s wife and co-founder of GMFC comments “Is this too much for a child to ask? TODAY you can help this horrific situation. All the good thoughts and pity one might have will not fill water cups or provide life- saving food for these dying children.” GMFC correlates these horrific deaths are the equivalent of 100 fully loaded commercial jetliners crashing daily. “We would be devastated if that happened, the news would be non-stop and something would immediately be done to remedy the problem. This is what's happening day after day after day and it is swept under the rug and continues its destruction” James States. The GMFC missionaries are the only lifeline the residents of the sixth poorest county in the world have. GMFC is the only relief organization in the areas they serve.
It is a fact that 30,000 children die in Africa daily. By the time it takes one to read this press release, approximately 50 children will die of hunger, poverty, curable diseases, lack of clean drinking water, government oppression, illiteracy and horrible cults like witchcraft.
“We need thousands of sponsors to put a dent in saving the 30,000 children who are dying daily in Africa alone” James explains. People are dying daily on the islands of Guinea Bissau and Formosa and with more money we would be able to help many more children. Cures for these deadly diseases, in most cases, could be administered with just a few dollars per person. Sponsoring a child through organizations like GMFC will literally save countless lives and give these forgotten children hope for a future. GMFC also has missionaries in Niger, Africa and Nepal, Asia and for just $1 a day one can sponsor a child, watch them flourish and grow and literally save their life from certain death.

NEAH Energy Makes All Share Exchange Offer To Acquire ThermoEnergy Corporation

New York (Sharewellnewswire.com) September 5, 2012 -- Newco Energy Acquisition Holdings LLC (“NEAH Energy”), an energy-related asset and services acquisition firm, today made an all share exchange offer to acquire ThermoEnergy Corporation (“ThermoEnergy”).

The NEAH offer provides current ThermoEnergy shareholders the equivalent of one half share (“1/2 share”) of NEAH Energy Holdings, Inc. (“NEAH Holdings”), a wholly owned affiliate of NEAH Energy for each fully diluted and converted share of ThermoEnergy. NEAH Energy intends to reverse merge NEAH Holdings into the current ThermoEnergy public shell and rename the surviving company “NEAH Holdings”.

The NEAH Energy offer is compelling, allows ThermoEnergy shareholders the opportunity to participate in a much broader institutional business platform which will create a meaningful public stock over time and allow shareholders to potentially realize a significant return on capital invested.

ThermoEnergy is technically insolvent based upon public filings and has significant going concern challenges, thus an all share exchange offer has been deemed most appropriate value for current shareholders and future growth potential.
NEAH Energy will deliver significant access to institutional capital, deep global energy industry relationships and significant new business and revenue opportunities. NEAH Holdings will be governed by a newly formed Board of Directors and Management team comprised of global senior energy industry executives. NEAH Energy will appoint the Executive Chairman and Chief Financial Officer for NEAH Holdings.

NEAH Energy intends to spin off to current ThermoEnergy shareholders additional value in the form of the entire Pressurized Oxy-Combustion (“POXC”) technology and business activities via a share distribution plan, which will result in POXC being owned entirely by ThermoEnergy shareholders independently from NEAH Holdings.

Current ThermoEnergy executives, operations staff and wastewater recovery assets will be incorporated into Water Consolidated Holdings, L.P. ("WaterCo"), a NEAH Holdings subsidiary. NEAH Holdings will own the General Partner and Limited Partner interests in WaterCo.

Merriman Capital has been selected as the financial advisor to NEAH Holdings and WaterCo and will be responsible for arranging capital, assisting with target acquisitions and other key corporate finance matters.

About NEAH Energy:
NEAH Energy is an acquisition company formed to acquire energy and energy-related assets and companies. NEAH focuses its interest in deep value, asset-backed investments in distressed, non-core, and niche-based energy assets, with an emphasis on solid cash flows, capital preservation and prudent risk management.

SAN FRANCISCO (Sharewellnewswire.com) September 4, 2012 - Youth led non-profit Teens Turning Green (TTG) is mobilizing high school and college students in the U.S. and around the world to green their lifestyles through Project Green Challenge 2012. PGC is a 30-day eco lifestyle challenge with major support from eBay

Green, Natracare, Nature’s Path and Whole Foods Market. Starting October 1st through the 30th participants will take on a challenge a day, each focused on a unique theme aimed at building a powerful, diverse and far reaching movement of change makers. The goal is to inspire youth across the planet to transition from conventional to conscious living by taking small steps that will help sustain a healthy and just world.

Throughout the month of October, daily challenges will be outlined on ProjectGreenChallenge.com and in emails sent each morning to students registered for PGC 2012. Participants will share their responses and experiences on the website and TTG’s social media, acquiring points and prizes throughout the process. Participants that complete the 30-day Challenge can apply for the challenge finals - Green University. Up to 12 finalists will be selected to attend Green University, a three-day eco-summit held in the Bay Area, (Northern California) from November 30 – December 2.

Finalists will be flown to San Francisco where they will work with esteemed eco leaders, present experiences from their 30-day Challenge, and work together to create unique platforms for social action. These platforms will then be implemented by TTG and youth worldwide in 2013. Green University will culminate with the selection of the Project Green Challenge Champion by a panel of judges. The champion will win a uniqueGrand Prize package valued at $15,000, including a $5,000 Green Award from Natracare, a $2,000 Nature’s Path “Get on the Path Ambassador Start Up Kit” including a fold up bicycle, a trip to the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim from Aubrey Organics, $1,000 gift cards from eBay Green, Whole Foods Market, and The Container Store, an Organic Mattress from OMI, head-to-toe eco makeover including clothing, and body care products, along with an awesome selection of eco items to inspire the path to green.

“The challenge aims to raise awareness amongst our generation about conscious living, informed consumption, and the collective impact of individual actions. The idea started as a way to empower my friends and peers to take action in their own lives and on their school campuses,” said Erin Schrode, 21, co-founder of TTG. “We want to inspire everyone to make simple, fun changes that will have a lasting impact on our health and that of the planet.”

The PGC goal is hundreds of schools and thousands of students from every corner of the planet working to become informed, mobilized, and be the change they want to see in the world.

Schrode, along with her mother, TTG founder and Executive Director Judi Shils, and 11 interns spent the summer developing the challenges, partnerships, and an outreach database of schools that numbers more than 5,000. Some of the schools signed on include Cal Poly, Drexel University, Brown University, Johns Hopkins University, Ohio State University, New York University, Virginia Teach, University of California Santa Barbara, University of Arizona, Villanova University, University of Nebraska, University of Georgia, University of San Diego, University of Buffalo, Webster University and many others…

PGC 2011, the inaugural year for this global initiative, saw 2,600+ students sign up to participate, representing 510 campuses, in 48 states and 21 countries. This past year, the TTG team worked with students around the country to build out social action platforms developed at PGC 2011 including a focus on ethical fashion, conscious paper, Green Dorm, sustainable food, and the Right to Know College Road Tour supporting the labeling of GMO food.

“The global response to the PGC 2012 initiative from students, school leaders, businesses, and non profit organizations has been vast and inspiring, demonstrating that where there is a will to collaborate, there is a way to sustain our planet! It is unique to have businesses who typically compete, working together. With this spirit the change in practice and process will come to pass in our daily lives, on school campuses, and in our communities”, said Judi Shils Founder and Executive Director of Teens Turning Green.
