Visual Horizons and its divisions ScrapSMART and StoreSMART Complete Four Decades Under Leadership of Reenie & Stan Feingold

Reenie & Stan Feingold has creatively managed Visual Horizons, and its divisions ScrapSMART and StoreSMART, since founding it over four decades ago.
Rochester, NY(Sharewellnewswire.com) August 1, 2012  –  Reenie & Stan Feingold has creatively managed Visual Horizons, and its divisions ScrapSMART and StoreSMART, since founding it over four decades ago.

Visual Horizons, began in 1971 and was a major photo/slide duplication lab for 28 years.  Reenie & Stan, along with their staff, created and duplicated slides for companies including Xerox, Smithkline, The Smithsonian, and NASA. Visual Horizons also created presentation graphics and book illustrations for the now famous Frank Abagnale of "Catch Me if You Can" fame.

The company also produced and published both printed and multi-media products, developed training materials, instructional books, and visual aids for educational institutions, industry, and the government. The topics range from substance abuse prevention to motivational presentations. During the height of production, Visual Horizons produced over 55,000 slides per day. With the introduction of video, and then PowerPoint, the slide industry disappeared.

With the end of the slide business, and not ready to retire just yet, Reenie & Stan developed StoreSMART, a catalog and web site company devoted to organization and storage. Visual Horizons had been producing vinyl slide pages for its customers, so instead of letting the equipment sit idle, production and development began on other vinyl products.  The company now has over 10,000+ sizes of vinyl pockets, CD/DVD storage, and business storage.  The company sells to large corporations, government, military, hospitals, schools, individuals, and for personal use.

Noting an increased interest in the craft market, Reenie saw an opportunity to expand her current business from the corporate market to the individual consumer; and so, ScrapSMART was born. The ScrapSMART line of products is targeted toward the Scrapbook, Rubberstamp, Altered Arts, Sewing and Craft markets.

ScrapSMART boasts an impressive 25,000+ images on CD and for immediate online download. The ScrapSMART line runs from innovative Albums, to Scrapbook, History, and Party Software, to a complete line of rare, vintage cuts and contemporary illustrations created by our own designers. Reenie Feingold debuted one of her products on QVC to an audience of over 85 million viewers. Reenie has also appeared as a guest with several of the ScrapSMART products, on "Protect Your Pretty Projects" and "Scrapbooking with your Sewing Machine," which began airing on April 2004 on the PBS television series "America Sews."

ScrapSMART and StoreSMART continue to expand their lines by adding new products and services everyday. Our goal is simple; provide customers with excellent customer service and great products at affordable prices. Our philosophy is simple: People buy from people they like…that are honest! We appreciate you taking the time to look at our products. Feel free to contact us anytime. Remember…StoreSMARTer and ScrapSMARTer not harder!

Prominent Businessman Edmond Masjedi Reveals the Ins and Outs of Starting a Beer Label

Masjedi focus for Papas Beer is to produce a quality beer with style, without gimmick, at an affordable price. He will be gathering the finest ingredients to server up a fine finished product for the masses to enjoy.

Plano,TX  (Sharewellnewswire.com) August 1, 2012 - Beer manufacturing and distribution was one of the earliest activities of some of the original U.S. colonists. It isn't hard to brew beer, but consistently making and distributing good beer is no easy task. It can be rewarding but requires patience and the proper resources.  A successful beer business requires distribution and market visibility.  Edmond Masjedi focus for Papas Beer is to produce a quality beer with style, without gimmick, at an affordable price.  He will be gathering the finest ingredients to server up a fine finished product for the masses to enjoy.

The first step is to learn the governing alcohol laws. Beer is a heavily taxed commodity, and the brewer bears much of the burden. State and local laws also govern where and by whom beer can be brewed and sold. It might be helpful to consult a local lawyer to find out what permits and licenses you need and for a survey of the legal landscape. Navigating these laws and regulations should not be taken lightly; a legal misstep in the alcohol business can be severe and costly.
The next step is large-scale brewing. It is important to start thinking about how to bottle and market your beer. Distinctive bottle shapes or colorful labels can catch people's eyes, but that can be expensive.  There are many designs firms to choose from when looking to design a label, interview several to compare services. Edmond Masjedi looks to keep a simple but elegant label design and a sharp marketing angle for Papas Beer.

Lastly, and most important - Get People to Drink your Beverage. From as early as possible in the process, put your beer in front of people and get them to drink it. Consumers are much more likely to repurchase a beer with quality they can taste, and a local bar is much more likely to devote one of their taps to your brew if they know it's a winner. There's no better way to establish a well-known beer label than to get the word out and put it in people's mouths.

Global Mission for Children Unveils Christian Child Sponsorship Program

Global Mission for Children, a non-profit Christian Church, is pleased to announce its new website www.globalmissionforchildren.org that supports missionaries in Guinea Bissau and Niger, Africa and Nepal, Asia, offering a Christian Child Sponsorship Program that serves all faiths. They are helping eradicate extreme poverty and diseases that are killing nearly 24,000 people per day, 75 percent of which are children, due to starvation, diseases, and lack of clean water.

Bradenton, FL(SharewellNewswire.com) August 7,2012  -  Non-profit Christian Church, Global Mission for Children (GMFC), has announced the launch of its new website www.globalmissionforchildren.org that aids missionaries in Guinea Bissau and Niger, Africa and Nepal, Asia, offering a Christian Child Sponsorship Program. GMFC, which has reached areas of Africa where there are no other relief organizations, is helping eradicate extreme poverty and deadly diseases with its new program.

The program will help construct new medical facilities, schools, and churches, as well as provide  food and shelter in areas where diseases and starvation is killing almost 24,000 people per day, out of which 75 percent are children. The program will help them preach the word of God to comfort the people's hearts while saving souls.

James Miller, Jr. president and co-founder of GMFC states, “child sponsorship, http://www.globalmissionforchildren.org/Ways_to_Give.php, is a very intimate and personal way to make a huge difference to wipe out extreme poverty and deadly diseases for less than $1 per day.” Being a child sponsor for other organizations for the past 7 years, Miller states, “it is one of the most rewarding and deeply spiritual experiences one will ever have and provides a spiritual bond between the sponsor and child that enables them to witness the good their donations are providing.”

GMFC, which is in outreach with missionaries serving full time in the poorest countries in Africa and Asia for the past 8 years, receives funding from its faithful founders. It has reached areas, such as UNO that is off the coast of Guinea Bissau where its missionaries have been serving for the last many years. They have already built 6 schools, 6 churches, and a small unsterilized medical room on the island of UNO alone. Their  Christian Child Sponsorship Program will help them do the same in other areas as well.

Organizations like GMFC use the funds from individual sponsorship to help support an entire community. Miller states, “This creates an incredible personal connection that compliments and is just as important as the monetary donation.” The sponsors pick children from GMFC's website and are encouraged to keep in touch with them primarily through emails that are received by the missionaries and translated to the children as well as villagers and then sent back to donors. This creates a personal, long-term commitment from sponsors through their donations, contact, and prayers. Miller further states, “GMFC is not pursuing a temporary patch on poverty and disease, but is building communities that will be self-sufficient forever.”

GMFC's “Statement of Faith”, “Mission Statement”, and the founders BIO's are posted on their website, so donors will be comfortable to participate.

About GMFC
GMFC is a worldwide sponsorship organization that serves all faiths, creeds ,and ethnicities and has other sponsorship opportunities available like Water Well, Electricity, and Medical Sponsorships.

THE REEVES FOUNDATION SUPPORTS CENTENARY COLLEGE WITH A $450,000 CHALLENGE AID

The Reeves Foundation has issued a fundraising challenge to Centenary College in the sum of $450,000 over a four-year period, contingent upon the College raising $950,000 in pledges for the Athletic Turf Field Project.

Hackettstown, NJ (Sharewellnewswire.com) August 7, 2012 – The Reeves Foundation has issued a fundraising challenge to Centenary College in the sum of $450,000 over a four-year period, contingent upon the College raising $950,000 in pledges for the Athletic Turf Field Project. This initiative supports the Foundation’s investment in the growth and future of Centenary College, and its recognition that the athletic and recreational facilities help to create the environment necessary for a valued student experience.

 The creation of an athletic turf field will allow Centenary to bolster its NCAA Division III program, as well as serve the community in even greater fashion by allowing more space for recreational activities. The replacement of a natural grass field with a synthetic turf would expand practice time opportunities and enhance safety for the Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse and Soccer teams, as well as allow more time for intramural athletic use and increased accessibility for community organizations. All four of these Cyclones teams are among the College’s strongest, and in 2010, the Women’s Soccer team earned its first Colonial States Athletic Conference championship and made its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

 Centenary College has had a longstanding relationship with the Reeves Family and the Reeves Foundation that has spanned decades. The Reeves Foundation has been integral to Centenary’s fundraising efforts, supporting major initiatives during The Campaign for Centenary College

 The Foundation initiated past donor challenges and provided funds that made the following Campaign goals possible: the restoration of the Edward W. Seay Administration Building in 2000; the new indoor riding arena named for the United States Equestrian Team (USET) in 2001; the multimillion-dollar renovation and expansion of the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center in 2006; and the David and Carol Lackland Center, Centenary’s newest building and focal point, and the new home of the Centenary Stage Company, in 2010.

 A Centenary College residence hall, North Hall, was renamed Reeves Hall in 1998, also in recognition of the Foundation’s challenge grant for The Campaign for Centenary College

 “This opportunity is a natural extension of the already longstanding relationship with the Reeves Foundation,” says Dr. Barbara-Jayne Lewthwaite, President of Centenary College. “The Foundation recognizes and supports quality athletic programs and I am pleased that it is continuing to demonstrate its dedication to Centenary College with the Athletic Turf Field Challenge. This turf field will give our teams a competitive edge and we hope individuals from the community also support us in this initiative.”

 Some noteworthy soccer and lacrosse athletic accomplishments for this year specifically include Women’s Soccer making the CSAC (Colonial States Athletic Conference) semi-finals, one of our female soccer players being named CSAC Player of the Year, as well as CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District and NCAA DIII Third Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region. The Men’s Lacrosse team made the first CSAC semi-final since 2009 and the Women’s Lacrosse made the CSAC Semi-finals.

 “The Centenary Cyclones have been making huge strides in Division III college sports in the past several years,” says Billie Blackwell, Director of Athletics at Centenary College. “It is an exciting time for the Cyclones and we hope to continue having successful seasons in the months and years to come.”
 For more information about this project or if you are interested in making a donation, please contact Simone Knaap at (908) 852-1400, ext. 2336, or e-mail knaaps@centenarycollege.edu. The deadline for this challenge is January 31, 2013.

 Founded in 1867 by the Newark Conference of the United Methodist Church, Centenary College’s academic program integrates a solid liberal arts foundation with a strong career orientation. This mix is designed to provide an educational experience that prepares students to succeed in the increasingly global and interdependent world.

 Centenary College’s main campus is located in Hackettstown, N.J., with its equestrian facility in Washington Township (Morris County). The Centenary College School of Professional Studies offers degree programs in three locations: Hackettstown, Parsippany and Edison, and at corporate sites throughout New Jersey. The School of International Programs recruits international students for study at Centenary and Centenary students for study abroad.

Drinking Games Book Offered to Public for Free

DrinkingGame.ME announced that its newly published book: Drinking Games A-Z, is available to the general public in electronic format, free of charge. The 35,000 word book features instructions for nearly 100 drinking games.

Windsor, Vermont (Sharewellnewswire.com) August 7, 2012 – A Vermont-based drinking games company is giving away its new book titled: Drinking Games A-Z.  The full-length book features a comprehensive listing of most of the world’s drinking games arranged by type and alphabetical order.  The entire book is free and is available for immediate download via the company’s website located at : http://www.drinkinggames.me/.

 Russ Hudson - the company’s Editor-in-Chief - stated that the completion of the book was truly an international effort;
 "We had researchers from all over the world put these games together; including parts of our team from Nairobi, Israel, Australia, Canada, and of course right here at home in the US"

 However, Rachel Clark, PR liaison for the company, said that most of the games included in the book originated in the distant past; not the far-away present;

 "A lot of the drinking games played today began in ancient Roman and Chinese societies, and then were modified by later civilizations.  Our book discusses the history of drinking games in detail; it’s fascinating really - even if you’re not a drinker"

 The book is available as a free download using a small form on the right-hand side of the website.  But despite easy access to the book, Hudson cautions users;
 "In order to get the book you must be of legal drinking age and agree to our responsible drinking disclaimer, which basically states that if you can’t drink without causing problems or getting into trouble, then you shouldn’t drink at all"

 Clark - also the site’s Safety Officer - added her own disclaimer with a smile, but it was clear that she wasn’t joking;

 "You don’t have to play drinking games with alcohol.  Use water.  Juice.  Hot sauce.  Whatever it takes, just be safe, and enjoy the free book"

 DrinkingGames.ME is an aptly named website dedicated to drinking games and its associated culture.  The site features articles and instructions for nearly 100 games, and has several playable online drinking games available for free play, including the popular game Drunk Mario.  The site’s book, titled "Drinking Games A-Z" has been published and is available for immediate download at no cost to the public - for a limited time.  For questions, to schedule an interview with Russ Hudson or to order a press kit, please visit the company website at http://www.drinkinggames.me/ or call 1-802-738-0775
